On a practical-side, pretending to be a action photographer on the sidelines - iPhone in hand - transforms a 4 yo’s gymnastics showcase from two hours of bleacher wigglies into great joy when you capture a special moment !!! Life saving 🤣

I fully agree. When grandkids visit I am a real camera pest. 😎

Yes! I only have a Canon Rebel that I received as a gift some years ago (and which i still have not fully explored) and the iPhone camera. The thing about the iPhone camera is that I think its presence helps me to see the world more fully. My eyes are always open to photo possibilities - looking for beauty in the neighborhood or at the beach or in the faces around me. I have read criticism that chastises people for pulling out their camera instead of looking around and taking in the scene but the camera only helps me focus on the moment. Even though I cull photos regularly , I still have about 35,000 in my collection. Oddly, I know well my favorites. Thanks for a fun post!

Thanks for your comment, Gracie. I agree with you. Congratulations on your Canon Rebel, it is a great camera. BTW, when I take dozens of photos I purposefully cull out at least 90%. 35,000 photos! Wow!

Well, that's from over about 15 years and a lot of travels but , yeah, I need to get better at culling! 🤣
