THE BONNETS ARE BLUE
May they pave the way to Washington, DC
Nature is waking up as spring approaches. The first Texas Bluebonnets are awakening. Notice the Blue. They are not Texas MAGAredbonnets.
Take a moment to think about this, as I did. Could there be an alignment between nature and the resistance movement? As increasing numbers of Americans awaken to the reality of the fascist POTUS regime, I sense a swelling up of pushback that is being reflected everywhere.
The lies and misinformation that led to a faction of voters to support our despotic POTUS and his regime are being uncovered hour by hour. The motivation behind the racist, violent actions of ICE is now exposed. It appears that all that was behind the 2024 election was a massive support by power hungry oligarchs that fed misinformation to the MAGA faction and allowed the election to favor the GOP. Even members of the GOP now realize how they were duped and are working through their emotions as they realize the colossal impact of their error in electing the oligarchy that is now in power and shifting priorities from service of the people to filling oligarchic coffers.
Humans are part of nature. And Mother Nature is feeling the onslaught of the oligarchs as they dismantle the rules and regulations that were in place to protect and restore her.
Just note the toxic oily rain falling on Tehran and other Iranian locations, and the huge release of global-warming gases that it causes. $1billion a day is being spent on attacking a nation that was not attacking us or even ready to mobilize nuclear forces against us. A huge proportion of that money goes to fueling warships and warplanes with fossil fuels. Those fuels add global-warming gases and cancer-causing chemicals to the air and waters on which all life on Earth depends. And we must remember that the damage being done in the Middle East was done just a few weeks ago in Venezuela and follows years of inhuman bombardment of Palestinians in Gaza. The fallout from US actions in Gaza, Syria, Iraq, Venezuela, and now Iran is rampant toxicity and elevation of global-warming gases in the air.
I am convinced that the harm being caused by the fascist government that our taxes fund is coming back to haunt us, now and in the cells of future generations. That specter will include the deeply ingrained hatred of the United States of America in the people that are needless targets of our fascist government’s aggression.
We must stop our aggressive ways for the sake of the flowers, the birds, the bees, the animals, the children of the world.
Is the mess in which we are immersed the reckless reaction of a despotic POTUS to what the Epstein files may reveal about his involvement in that affair?
At my Thursday coffee this week two who supported the GOP in November 2024 expressed total disapproval of the POTUS.
Without getting passionate or philosophical, if we express how the actions of the POTUS affect us, our relatives, our friends, across the globe, we bring to others the reality of the real suffering of real people. The cruel actions through bombings and embargoes affect real human beings in very painful ways— our candid, personal stories find their ways into the still very human heart of the GOP rank and file.
Resisting with candor and compassion works.
Look at the Texas Bluebonnets and resist with all your might— the future of the planet is at stake.

Nature has a way of signaling a shift long before we see it in the headlines The blooming of the Bluebonnets isn t just a change in the weather it feels like a silent protest against a regime that has prioritized oligarchic profit over the very earth we stand on When you mention the toxic rain and the carbon footprint of unnecessary aggression you re highlighting a hard truth: we are funding the destruction of our own biological future. The resistance isn t just a political movement it s an immune response from the planet itself.
