I was so disheartened yesterday by the low turnout for the march. Granted , it was on a Thursday but here it was 4;30 - 6:00. I estimate only 200 people - a far cry from the 1,000+ at No Kings march. I don't think there was enough publicity. It wasn't made clear WHY July 17th was important. Are people just too overwhelmed with the cruelty? Are they pulling back b/c they can't handle more? I'm afraid they just don't believe that fascism is well on the way to being established here. If you don't show up, democracy is going away. I left that march in tears, thinking that people are giving up.
