Manuel, I am about to repost your powerful letter to my list of subscribers. And recommend that they subscribe to your Substack.

We are "bird people". A significant line litem on our personal budget is bird food. We kept the bluebirds all winter with mealworms. Now they are having their babies in the houses we erected. And...the bright blue male is flying at our windows - defending his area, protecting his family.

That's what VOA was for. To help protect us. To "hold the door" as the forces of evil tried to spread their wings. There is only ONE explanation for the shuttering of such a news service. Treason.

Who have $Trusk helped in the first two months of holding power? American billionaires and Russian gangsters. Who have they hurt? Most average Americans and our allies. Treason.

This is no puzzle. This is blatant. This is obvious. $Trusk = betrayal of their nation for personal gain. Both are sociopathic hoarders of wealth. One has global ambitions. The other (like Bibi) wants to stay out of prison.

Excellent letter, sir. Let's keep asking "Who have they helped?" And on April 5th we'll be marching and shouting in the streets and parks "Hands Off!" Thousands of locations. Millions of angry citizens. We will be heard.

All the more reason for the rest of us to ask those uncomfortable questions. This article should make some of the regime's supporters uncomfortable too, and we must continue to hope.

Another solid point and article. Just its name alone - The Voice of America (VOA) should make people stop and take note as it may be replaced by sound bites from FOX news. Which is a more credible source in people's minds. I know my answer.

Amen, Manuel.

"The Voice of America is one of the latest victims, along with the U S Department of Education. Note also that journalists who ask questions that make the regime uncomfortable are banned from the White House.

An uninformed public benefits a tyrant.

Resist today. Resist tomorrow. Resist as you are able. Democracy needs you for its survival."

Thanks for sharing this Manuel. When I was lived overseas, I'd listen to propaganda stations from the USSR and it's satellite countries to compare with the news available in the west. What struck me the most was the rhetoric. The MAGA regime apparently feels Fox is sufficient for it's purposes. Who needs VOA when there's Fox?

Thanks for sharing your experience, Frederick. We must disseminate what we have felt on our person.

I want to say I can't believe that Voice of American and the DOE are being dismissed except, at this point, it has become believable. NOT acceptable but apparently the way things are going. Of course I will resist. I will not stop fighting the cruel actions of this administration. ALL people matter. Not just billionaires.
