Solid topic. I have found putting a price on what things cost to an individual and the benefits ithey receive s always a good way to ipromote change in behavior and the products we use. Walking vs driving, hybrid cars vs. gasoline cars, etc.

Scott, that approach dispels lies and myths. The challenge to me has always been getting to the true costs and benefits of, free from subsidies and fears. Thanks!

Thanks for this simple explanation, Manuel. Thank you also, for helping me not lose hope.

Manuel, thought of you this week over the implementation of using nitrogen hypoxia in capital punishment - I know that makes your head explode. I understand this week is about decarbonizing buildings, but the Alabama news brought me back to death row issues. I don't support capital punishment as an answer to human brokenness. But, I'm curious why "death with dignity" medications (which work with compassion to a peaceful death) aren't used. Shaking my head. Thank you again for the work you do on this issue.

Mixing compassion with vengeance unfortunately is a tough sell.

To me, Mark, it should be restorative justice; but it will require society's commitment at every level. We are still not fully civilized.

Restorative justice is indeed the only way to turn tragedy into any sense of a win-win situation but what a challenge it will be to move in that direction.

Good things require extra effort😎

Good morning, Karen. I only write about what I consider obvious injustice. Many, many others eloquently and forcefully oppose capital punishment, e. g., TCADP.org, Sister Helen Prejean, Bryan Stevenson, https://www.texasdefender.org, et al. I am waiting for details on the use of nitrogen on executions before addressing that. I read that, apparently, the killing did not go as planned

Having experienced suicide within my family, I am not ready yet to write about physician assisted suicide. It is a very personal decision and has multilevel implications.

Peace to you.

What a simple though I'm sure expensive alternative to just continually heating the atmosphere. What will they think of next? The possibilities are endless with enough research support.
