When we persevere, the dream never dies

Yes, a joyful post.

The POTUS is human— not immortal. His party is fractured. Half the nation voted for someone else.

Night has fallen on the dream of true American Democracy and honest, competent government of, by and for the people. But night always yields to a new bright day. And even at night, the lovely moon and stars maintain our hope for morning.

Surely, much damage will be done overnight, even as we resist as we are able. Surely as well, the morning will come, and sobered and trustworthy Americans will put the pieces together for a better America.

If you shed tears when you miss the sun, you also miss the stars.
