Focusing on restoring our planet...

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Today there is a presidential debate in the U S. The autocratic, insurrectionist, convicted felon former POTUS is well known and will participate. There is nothing to debate. To maintain the joy of freedom we must not elect him. And if we elect him, we will suffer adverse consequences as a planet, a nation, and as individuals.
Now, here is a truly joyful opportunity! A positive opportunity to improve our home— Planet Earth. What if we could restore our home to full health? What if we could interconnect habitats and provide a place for plants and animals to thrive alongside humanity? What if through such an effort we could collaborate with local communities and realize benefits all around?
Well, the answers are becoming clearer as more and more people refuse to accept the status-quo of unfettered development, global warming and pollution. People in the Southern Cone are committed to recovering functional ecosystems that can survive human impact and thrive. These folks have been relentless in their efforts to restore huge swaths of land in the threatened dry forests of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay that constitute the second largest forest mass after the Amazon. The effort will significantly increase the viability of many species, such as the jaguar, the giant river otter, the marsh deer, the red-footed turtle, and tapir.
We need not focus on negativity. We must focus on the positive energy that rewilding projects release— unleashing the joy of nature in the wild.
