Yes, it's easy for me to forget that age is creeping up. I overdo it all the time in my zeal for outdoor adventure and experiences. But, like you are doing, I take time to soothe and to enjoy the memory of the experience.

I like that idea that cicadas and snakes (and other insects, I'm sure) shed their skin to grow further. I think shedding old ways of being in favor of ways that more suit us now is awesome. It seems like it's not necessarily a natural process in human beings. Would that it were....

Yes! For inexplicable reasons this kind of loose, uninhibited dance DOES being joy! I have always enjoyed feeling the music and moving with it, just as it is. So fun! I could never follow a partner well because of course each person interprets music differently. I was glad to be born in a time when I could dance this way with a partner, a room full of people— or solo—without it being odd. When the music moves me I always get up to dance!
