JOYFUL PIECE #93
Hope & Resilence
The river of life flows past with its varied cargoes of worries, dreams and hopes. Sometimes we watch in despair. These days we seldom watch in delight. But delight is in the sights on which we focus.
On a morning walk, after checking my social media and news streams, I set out on my morning walk to “clear my head” and find joy.
Soon into my walk I ran into this solitary bluebonnet. It is thriving in a crack of hope. It is an island of joy in the sea of hard, grey concrete. Its flowers are as blue as the #resistance movement. It refuses to curl up and dry up.
In the current sea of fascism that we navigate, may we learn from the bluebonnets: beautiful, resilient, and displaying the blue of the skies of freedom.
Hope, faith, resilience, and #Resistance are the components of our mission.
Are we up to that mission?
Not far from the lone bluebonnet there are clumps of other bluebonnets waking up to the call to #Resistance that will overcome the dullness and darkness before us.
Keep hope alive, nourish your inner Joy. #Resist daily as you are able.

Great article and analogy. Let's hear it for the bluebells. I will say your morning walk may be more joyful if you check your social media and news feeds after your walk versus before it:)
Thank you Manuel! Nature teaches us not to give up hope. Here, peeking through the snow are some crocuses and small stems of tulips. We need messenger of hope such as you in these chaotic and dark times. Enjoy the bluebells!
