Towards A Higher Consciousness

Ponder that for a bit…

The challenge (problem) being presented by the fascists in the GOP is the product of a certain consciousness based on the gospel of success. That gospel is driven by fear, power, selfishness, greed— it portrays a vision of a world of scarcity.

That gospel of success, that level of consciousness, has impeded much progress in humanity.

Twenty centuries ago, a humble sage brought us the message of courage, love, compassion, justice, mercy, charity, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, nonviolence. That portrays a vision of abundance and possibility. We can refer to that message as the Gospel of Wisdom. That message fell on pockets of fertile ground. Unfortunately, many turned from that message and returned to the gospel of success followed by the empires of the time. The Gospel of Wisdom has been attempted many times, and it is far from full implementation. Temptation has tended to pull us back to the heresy of the gospel of success. And that heresy has brought us to our current fascist regime run by oligarchs.

You can feel the vibrations of the gospel of success when you hear that the fascists that assail us will fail because their actions are inane, or that their actions will hurt the economy, or that they are incompetent in affairs of war-making and foreign policy. Those arguments emanate from the gospel of success.

Pondering Einstein’s aphorism, I propose that we need the higher level of the Gospel of Wisdom to wisely and fruitfully address and overcome our current challenge. We have the power to listen to the Gospel of Wisdom— and to implement it.

Be joyful in the Gospel of Wisdom, so we can build a secure world.
