JOYFUL PIECE #83
We are beyond a critical mass

One week after the inauguration of an unpalatable regime many people are upset and distraught. We thought that this could not happen— yet it did. What do we make of it?
It seems that the Democrats did not get it right. And that being the case, much soul-searching is underway, as it should. As expressed in reference [2], failures open our hearts and minds toward patience and understanding. We feel deceived, let down. We thought we had it under control— but that is never totally the case. We may feel that we lost— and that is worth pondering. Did we “lose” because we did not work hard enough, or contribute enough funds, or manipulate others enough?
Many decent people are indeed bewildered. But we must accept where we are and learn. As reference [2] suggests, we must “embrace the imperfect”. That does not mean that we get on board with the “winning” regime. Rather, we must focus not only on what we were seeking but on how we executed to reach our goal.
One of my key takeaways from reference [2] is the concept of “critical mass”, “remnant”, “yeast”. That is the relatively small amount of resources needed to once again take up our work and endeavor for a better world. The current regime was elected [3] by less than half of the popular vote. If we consider those who voted against the current regime, it turns out that 77,935,722 American voters opposed the current regime. This is an infinitely larger number than a typical critical mass, remnant, or yeast for change. This is a powerful force to change the bankrupt agenda of the current regime.
We are much more than America’s fresh yeast; we are the wholesome loaf that will feed a revival.
Be joyful, much work to do!

Dear Manuel: 99% of the time I love your writing. Today, it makes me sad. I know that you have a good heart and mean the best.
"It seems that the Democrats did not get it right. " Yes. But more than that, many Republicans, who knew better, people who are educated and experienced, in contrast to the masses who were manipulated with misinformation, who lacked the sophistication to see through the lies, sold their souls to the dark side. They put greed and power above country and duty. Their job was more important than their loyalty to our democracy and constitution. Some Democrats, besides getting it wrong, did the same.
"Patience and understanding", in my not so humble opinion, have no place in the situacion we are in now.
We have SUPREME COURT JUDGES, let that sink in, who are bowing to a mentally disturbed hitler-wanabe, for personal gain.
What ever happened to justice beeing blind?? My outrage is jeopardizing my mental health and that of millions, including the many that were blind and are "shocked" by the rude awakening. "Many people are bewildered" does not begin to cut it, Manuel.
You cannot sugar coat EVIL.
States are challenging the outrageous executive orders in courts. That is a lengthy process....and greed and power might defeat them. Though I do hold some hope. But not much.
But this is the line that got to my gut: "But we must accept where we are...". NEVER. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT. I am just an old woman. But I will scream at the top of a mountain top, if it need be! FIGHT. RESIST. DO NOT ACCEPT. I do not want to die ashamed of my country. I love the real America.NEVER PERFECT BUT ALWAYS HOPE FILLED.
I lost family to fascism . I will not accept inhumanity. I stand with the resistance
If people like repugnant Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg put their money for the good of America and not for fascism, the fight would most likely be won faster.
The world is watching and I feel ashamed.
I hate to say this Manuel, this is not a time for Pollyana.
