We frequently encounter headwinds in life. Yet, sharing good times with friends is an excellent counter.
This week we took an impromptu trip to stay with friends, taking advantage of a window of opportunity during the hurricane season.
Our friends and us have different views on politics and we carefully approached “hot” topics. It was amazing to see how aligned we are on the “strategic“ aspects of life even though the “tactics” differ.
We are all seeking security and well-being— the strategic aspects. It is fear that drives the tactics, which are often detrimental to our collective well-being.
It has been a joyful trip due in a large part by a willingness by all to look at reality from the other’s side. That approach revealed that division is not a given if we approach life strategically rather than simply tactically.
We must continue to seek common ground and avoid manipulation by politicians and special interests. Be open minded — be joyful!
