The Paris Olympics were so uplifting Manuel! There was so much to celebrate and the French really showed they are the best at creative celebrations It was a masterpiece! Chef's kiss! 😘
Although I didn't watch the Olympics this year, I could relate to your comment about the reward being found in the performance itself. That made me think of my many years of cycling. I was able to enjoy many a lovely early morning (dawn+three hours) solitary bicycle ride through the lovely views of my home county. There were no medals or prizes to be won, only the sheer joy of pushing myself up hills and reaching my personal endurance goals . The glorious beauty around me was true eye candy. I like your closing: "I try to live for joy, to live for life, allowing every moment to bring its own unique medal." There's medal worth winning.
Another great article and bottom line thoughts. I too enjoyed the Olympics this year and was reminded of how long the ABC Sports tag line "The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat " has been around. As pointed. out in either case there is joy in either outcome as time moves on. Enjoy the day!

Thanks for your kind comment, Scott. Enjoy the moment!
I felt that sort of “overflowing” humanness watching Boys in the Boat … the power & joy of the human spirit.
Thanks for your comment, Karen; I am going to look for that movie.
Look forward to hearing what you think. Echoes of Chariots of Fire - Boys in the Boat take place in the 30’s !!
