JOYFUL PIECE #53
CELEBRATE!

We are called to address injustice and speak truth to power. Yet we must also celebrate the joy of life and things that go well.
These days we are assailed by real and imagined events in the Mainstream Media (MSM). One of the current discussion items is the project by our own brand of Monarchists who have developed an over 900-page document outlining their plans of action should the convicted felon former POTUS return to power in January 2025.
We must continually resist autocratic tendencies in all political parties. We are citizens of the United States of America— and not of any individual or party.
It is important to be aware of those that would topple our Democracy and to vigorously resist their efforts. It is also important to realize that we, along with many other countries, enjoy freedoms that allow us to resist forays by extremists. Our task is to be alert while resisting those who would oppress us. And we must do so earnestly and optimistically, so that our energies multiply.
So, in perusing the events commemorated on this day, I noticed that a half dozen countries commemorate events significant to their independence, among them the sizeable countries of Argentina, Australia and Brazil. Today we bemoan the “shrinking” pool of democratic countries, yet there is reason to celebrate hard-won gains. This past week, the United Kingdom sent the party of Margaret Thatcher packing with the Labour Party victory. And French citizens rejected the extreme tendencies Marine Le Pen’s National Rally Party.
Nothing is guaranteed, but if we focus and strive for what is just, we can continue the path of constructing a better world. Be JOYful!

Solid uplifting article. Being JOYFUL is a great feeling. We should strive to have this feeling every day.
A MSM pundit just said, "The couch is the enemy of democracy." I want that on a t-shirt!!!!!
