If you had not published this, I would have not believed it. When I think about the environmental disasters in the Sonoran desert, I can only be thankful that I am not there to see it.
What a delightful read! I am so pleased to see this and, yup, I am surprised it is Texas where this is happening. Texas gets such bad press (and for good reason, it seems) but I am glad you highlighted something good that is happening there. Yes, reason for joy.
That is a great decision by those citizens, if only it were not it Texas. The States ' far-right policies and detestable Governor , the assassination of JFK in Dallas.and my past experiences of being mugged in Huston in 1978 with my then six years old son as witness off attempted violation, and a scam in a parking lot in San Antonio in 2009, I have no love left for anything Texas.
Living in a state where so many citizens blindly follow the dogmas, fed to them by the religious establishments and the politicians, is always a challenge. I persist even though I know that many Texans are caught in the lies and misinformation spewed out. I know that there are many, many progressives in Texas working to improve all aspects of our living environment. I am disturbed by your experiences in Texas. Peace to you. Thanks for commenting, my friend, Verónica.
Thank you Manuel. I am happy to hear that there are progressive in Texas. I guess I did not realize you live there. I hope I did not offend you. The mugging was scary and sharing. I appreciate your kind words. 💜
Thanks for the "Upper" Manuel.
Thanks for your comment, Mark. We must keep the lights visible to all!

Thanks for your comment, Patricia. We must continue to expose the good that we see so we are continually encouraged to confront the "not so good".
As we join forces
for the common good of all
nature rejoices!
Thanks for your kind words! Have a beautiful day!
A reason for joy, for sure. Literally a breath of fresh air!

Austin and Travis County, where it resides, are called the blueberry in the cherry pie. Thanks for your comment, Gracie.

I am not offended at all— you had bad experiences in TX. Shame on those who brought you grief.
I am touched by your understanding. Thank you again. The last thing I'd want to do is offend!
Thanks for your comment, Donna.
