This is not an automotive industry promotion. Can we avoid gasping at the beauty of this magnificent jaguar?
Is it not inspiring to witness the return of such a beautiful animal that was once rarely seen in the US?
Well, the Northern Jaguar Reserve project in Northern Mexico has been protecting one of the most iconic wild creatures in the Americas: the jaguar.
It has been half a jaguar’s lifetime, 8 years, since El Jefe was spotted in the US. But earlier this year it was confirmed that the newest Jaguar seen in the US has crossed the border— back into Mexico! This shows that there are natural pathways for terrestrial creatures to cross the border and follow prey in the rugged habitats of Mexico, Arizona, and New Mexico. So, efforts are underway to foster more Jaguar breeding pairs here in the US. This will be an improvement on the genetic diversity of wildlife that will yield a positive outcome for the future.
Who can dispute that wildlife needs open borders to thrive?

It is joyful to see our planet recover from the onslaught of “civilization”!

It’s inspiring to imagine a path left anywhere, for any ambulating species, at our southern border. The ability to walk away from terror seems so fundamental.
Thanks Manuel - such a beautiful, magnificent creature being allowed to exist in its native form is always encouraging.
