How wholesome and uplifting Manuel! Texans have always struck me as so polite and genuine. That's why it's so confusing to see them continue to elect such hateful leadership. 💔
It is good to share the positive. The news has been so ugly and heart-breaking this fall that now I am choosing to limit although not to forget the suffering and to try to sow some seeds of peace, justice and healing.
Thank you, I am up very late because my dogs stole chocolate and were ill. I do enjoy Father Rohr and this week I plan to rest and pray and cut back drastically on trying to understand and fix and find solutions. I just came to that conclusion yesterday. I will read this later. Thanks again, Frances Scully
How refreshing! Most people are basically decent when we can get past the veneers that we wear. And some companies are also filled with decent people- they're just relatively few in no. Y E A for this store.
Wow! Remarkable! I love this kind of surprise. I don't have the best opinion of Texas in general but i do know that there are good people and good businesses everywhere. Thanks for highlighting this one. You made me smile on a gray day.

The paradoxes in life...
Right? Or cognitive dissonance.
😎
Thank you for sharing this story of generosity.
Great story. I had not heard of this act of generosity. Wish I would have been in the store when this happened.
You and a lot of others! Have a great day Scott!

The story of my life!
Thanks for your comment, Andrew.
Thank you, Manuel, for that story of hope and generosity and good sense. I love the snowy photo, too.
Thanks Tara...& HEB! Glad that you liked the photo of our snowy backlot.
Thanks for reminding me. HEB is one of the few things I miss about Texas :)
