Thanks for commenting, Dawn. I have long thought about term limits but have not reached a conclusion. For a time the Ancient Greeks had compulsory service by citizens in their government. Some politicians are good to try out for one term and others might be good for multiple terms. Should public servants be certified to serve in the first place? Are terms too long for the POTUS and Senators? Is lifetime appointment to the SCOTUS a wise practice? Much head scratching...
Yes, much head scratching! You've given me so much more to think about. No answers at this point but I can say I feel strongly about the lifetime SCOTUS thing and not in a positive-not based on their politics but rather, declining cognition concerns me.
