On Thanksgiving Day, many will write about their family memories of past celebrations and recall the bounty at their tables.
May our inner joy transform, on that day, into generosity towards the victims of war and oppression in America and abroad.
May our inner joy strengthen our resolve to counter the forces of evil in our midst with love and compassion, even as those who currently rule in America resort to hate, violence, and war.
May our Thanksgiving reunions be recommitments to the rights of all people to life, to liberty, to the pursuit of happiness.
May we stand for justice and peace, and support those in physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual need.
