So so true. I was just apologizing this morning (to the universe) to my parents generation. They fought in wars, sacrificed so much, to preserve the freedoms and compassion for others that they felt this country exemplified. We have let them, and this new generation (our granddaughter graduated from high school last night) down in so many unfathomable ways. I do see such kindness and concern for others and the earth in so many of these young people that I have hope they will be able to take over and take us in a better direction.
It is so difficult to fathom how we as a "free" society let it get this bad.
