It was dark, and the rain was coming down hard on July 4th. Or were the heavens crying over the profound infamy of the GOP vote for the BBB? Or over the tragic flooding in Texas?
We may feel sad, impotent because the government is in the hands of fascists. Don’t be sad. Be joyful and resilient. You are here to make a difference and keep the fascists in check and retreating— period.
Every action taken that is contrary to fascist behavior counters the dark forces of the POTUS and his sycophants.
The POTUS is trying to establish a police state by integrating ICE & CBP with the national Armed Forces in California, Florida, Texas and elsewhere. This is cause for alarm and for resistance.
The increased size of the military component of the BBB budget plus the tax breaks for the wealthy contrast sharply with the associated reduction in the social programs that help Americans. This inequality must be corrected. Americans do not want war nor a police state. Let’s remind them.
Joyfully dilute the effect of the evil forces being deployed by taking compassionate action to help our suffering fellow human beings.
Myriads of indolent measures assail us. Some favor wealthy Americans; others are based on bigotry, racism, ignorance. Sadly, those measures are being implemented by human beings against other human beings. This may seem at times overwhelming. Can we afford to surrender?
